Founder & CEO
Jérôme Mottas.
Our founder did not arrive in consulting through a case interview. He arrived through the shop floor, and he kept the floor's habit: if it does not work in the real world, it does not count.
From the floor to the product.
Jérôme started at IKEA on the shop floor and spent twelve years working up to a global product portfolio: digital price tags he took from pilot to 150+ stores across 10 countries, augmented-reality store formats, a city-format store that paid back in two months. By the end he was running a portfolio of six products with a team of 21 behind them. His first prototype, an express-delivery service, dates back to 2010; the habit of shipping never left.
He founded Three Four, the firm behind The 34 Group, in 2021, on one conviction: the companies advising on transformation have rarely built one. Through it he has led the re-platforming of 700+ e-commerce pages for a global outdoor brand, in-store booking and conversational commerce for a global sportswear brand, and the defence of 24M annual visits at board level for a leading French online credit broker, in the first wave of AI answers. The firm is on the hook for results, and he signs the work.
Opening doors.
Three Four is a Black-owned firm. Our founder is a Black entrepreneur, born in Morges and based in Lutry, and the majority of our board is Black. We do not lead with this, our work leads, but we will not hide it either, because visibility is exactly what too many Black-owned businesses are denied.
That is why the firm is committing part of its diagnostic capacity to Black-owned commerce and retail businesses, the same rigor we bring to a global brand, applied to companies the big firms never call back. The first engagements come first; the program page will follow the proof, not precede it.
I know what a closed door looks like from both sides. I built my way through mine, from the shop floor to the boardroom, and I intend for this firm to hold doors open behind it. If you run a Black-owned business and you are carrying a real problem, bring it to us.Jérôme Mottas, founder & CEO
